New Assemblages

Here are some pictures of new assemblage vases recently completed.  These are made by blowing a glass bubble into a plaster/silica mold.  

Urban Glass R.I.P.

 Urban glass is officially closing for two years or so while they completely rebuild the studio- perhaps unnecessarily so. Here is a picture of Alexis Deleon and I making the last piece in the old studio.

Kips Bay Show House

The Kips Bay Show House opened recently.  Designer Wayne Nathan chose to include a some

blue assemblage vase with pink flowers and polished black cubes

of my assemblage vases in his space.  He also commisioned a wall installation by artist Aakash Nihalani.  See the show house slideshow here.
